Privacy

Your home data deserves a clear explanation.

Xynch can hold practical information about a home, so privacy cannot be hidden behind vague wording. This notice explains what the service currently needs and why.

Who is responsible for your information?

Xynch Limited (company number 17214210) is responsible for personal information used to provide Xynch. Xynch Limited is registered in England and Wales and its registered office is 124 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

If you have a privacy question or want to exercise a data right, contact hello@xynch.com.

What information does Xynch use?

Account information such as your email address, profile details, authentication records and workspace membership.

The information you choose to put into Xynch, including property names, snags, House Bible entries, notes, locations, documents, images and other uploaded material.

Operational and security information needed to keep the service reliable, such as audit events, error information, device or browser details and service usage signals.

Subscription information such as your plan, billing status and payment-provider identifiers. Xynch does not need to store your full payment card details; payment handling is provided by Stripe.

Why is it used?

To create and secure your account, provide workspaces and property records, enable collaboration, process subscriptions, deliver requested emails, investigate problems, protect the service and maintain reliable backups and recovery.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, this will normally be because processing is needed to provide the service you asked for, to meet a legal obligation, or for a legitimate interest such as security, reliability and preventing abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Who helps provide Xynch?

Xynch uses carefully chosen service providers for infrastructure, hosting, storage, authentication, transactional email and other specialist functions needed to operate the service. Stripe provides subscription payment handling.

Providers only receive the information needed for their role. Some providers may process information in the UK, EEA or other countries. Where required, appropriate data-transfer safeguards are used by the provider and Xynch.

How long is information kept?

We keep account and workspace information while it is needed to provide Xynch and for a reasonable period where it is necessary for security, billing, dispute handling, legal obligations or recovery. Backup copies can remain for a limited recovery period after live data changes.

Xynch is designed around continuity rather than surprise deletion. That does not mean every record is kept forever. Retention will be reviewed as the service matures and any material customer-facing retention rules will be stated clearly.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access personal information, correct it, ask for deletion or restriction, object to some uses, or receive information in a portable form. You can also raise a concern about how your information is being used.

Email hello@xynch.com and describe what you need. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request so that somebody else cannot obtain or change your information.

If you are unhappy with how a privacy concern has been handled, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies, consent and analytics

The Xynch application uses browser storage and cookies that are necessary for sign-in, security and the normal operation of the service. On the public Xynch website, Termly is used to present and remember cookie choices.

Google Analytics 4 is available as optional website analytics. Xynch does not load the Google Analytics tag unless you choose Analytics in the consent settings. You can change that choice at any time using Consent Preferences in the website footer.

Xynch does not use these technologies to sell personal browsing profiles. If additional optional analytics, advertising or marketing technologies are introduced, the choices and information provided here will be updated to reflect them.
